www.instructables.com-One of my All time favorite “Maker” sites- cool projects, and hands on learning activities…..you can make a sock puppet monkey or a potato gun that launches spuds across a football field. How cool is that?

Just an inspirational note from Warren Bucklietner at Children’s Technology Review………


Beverly Cleary, died at the ripe old age of 104 years. If Cleary's philosophy can be distilled, it would be something like, don't talk down to children. When asked about any hidden educational agenda, Clearly said “I wrote books to entertain... I’m not trying to teach anything!”  Another secret to Cleary's success is her ability to tune into children. As a former children's librarian, she knew her audience extremely well. Her contribution to children's literature has been significant.  Here's her obituary
